La Paz, Boivia-

There was a varity of food to choose from in La Paz! It was plentiful in restaurants but the real treat was walking through the colorful markets, the good smelling comedors, and eating at the ever convienent (and did I forget to mention delicious!) street stands!

In the markets you can buy grains, noodles, spices and all the fruits and vegetables you can imagine.

Eating at one of our favorite comedors!

To eat a hot meal we went to the comedores where we would get an almuerzo for $7 Bolivianos or about $1.25 USD. This consisted of a soup to start, "segundito" which was typically carne o millenesa de pollo with a side of potatoes, arroz and an ensalada! If you were STILL hungry you could get the sopa blanca which Jovis and I could never get to (lol).

In the pictures below I am eating Salchipapas! Street Food in La Paz and mostly every where around Bolivia included hamburguesas con huevo, salchichas, or Salchipapas. Salchipapas were a combination of papas fritas and salchichas cut up and sprinkled on top and of course they added ketchup and mustard! MMmmm deliciousss!
